26/03/2013 - Kadima-Zoran Teachers Join “Laptop Computer for Every Teacher” Program Teachers from the Or Torah, Lev Ran and Nitzanei Hasharon elementary schools in the Kadima-Zoran local council recently joined the “Laptop Computer for Every Teacher” program. With their participation, the program has reached more than 7,200 teachers and kindergarten teachers from 495 schools and kindergartens in 189 cities and communities.

26/03/2013 - Kindergarten teachers in Maale Yosef Regional Council join "A Laptop Computer for Every Kindergarten Teacher in Israel”. With their participation, the program has reached more than 7,100 teachers and kindergarten teachers from 492 schools and kindergartens in 188 cities and communities.

29/01/2013 - Teachers in “Bamaale” primary school in Yehud – Monoson have received laptop computers as well as advanced training courses, as part of Athena Fund’s program ““Laptop Computer for Every Teacher in Israel” – acting to empower the teachers in Israel. The project now encompasses over 7000 teachers and nursery teachers in 469 schools and nurseries over 188 villages.

Shoham is the 19th regional council joining Athena Fund’s program “A Laptop Computer for Every Teacher in Israel” and the 5th council in the central district participating in that program.

19/06/2010 - Teachers in Brenner Regional Council have received laptop computers as part of the program “A Laptop Computer for Every Teacher in Israel” of the Brenner Regional Council, Athena Fund, The Teachers Union and The Ministry of Education Brenner regional council, together with Athena Fund, The Teachers Union and The Ministry of Education, distributed laptop computers to elementary school teachers in the region on Wednesday, June 9 2010. Brenner is the 18th regional council joining Athena Fund’s program “A Laptop Computer for Every Teacher in Israel” and the 4th council in the central district participating in that program.

19/06/2010 - Oranit regional council, headed by Shlomi Langer, together with Athena Fund, The Teachers Union and The Ministry of Education, distributed laptop computers to elementary school teachers in the region on Thursday, June 3 2010. Oranit is the 17th regional council joining Athena Fund’s project “ A Laptop Computer for Every Teacher in Israel” and the 3rd council in the central district participating in that program.

26/02/2010 - Athena Fund together with The Ministry of Education and The Teachers Union completed distribution of 1000 laptops to primary school teachers in Jerusalem. Last December Mr. Nir Barkat – Mayor of Jerusalem, announced Jerusalem teachers had joined the project. The distribution event took place on February 23, 2010

To date, over 1400 teachers in 11 cities and municipal districts, 6 of which are located in the Southern District, have received their personal laptops. “Laptop for Every Teacher” for the empowerment of the teachers in Israel continues full force country wide: On Monday, October 19 2009, 165 teachers from Primary Schools in Dimona, have received their laptops as part of the project.

Organization's Mission

לעמוד הבית The organization's mission is to empower teachers in Israel and to ensure that every Israeli teacher is equipped with a laptop as a work tool, accompanied by a practical 120-hour training course. The goal is for the computer to serve teachers as a work tool for improving their teaching skills.

	Jason Arison, Chairman of the Ted Arison Family Foundation
	In the framework of the "Laptop Computer for Every Teacher in Israel" program, the Ted Arison Family Foundation has adopted teachers in the cities and regional councils of Sderot, Dimona, Hof Ashkelon, Eilat, Petach-Tikva, Afula, Emek Lod and Beit Aryeh–Ofarim, as well as teachers at the Yemin Orde Youth Village. 	Prof. Paul Rasta, Head of the Center for Technologies in Education at the University of Texas, visited Gouarish School in Ramla, together with his spouse Virginia.
